Pet Boundary - Underground - In-Ground Fence

Pet Boundary – Underground – In-Ground Fence contains fences that use wire to set the boundaries for your pet. Bury the wire approximately 4-6 inches into the ground. It needs to be deep enough to protect it from being damaged by any machinery or dug up by your dog. The wire does not have to be buried in order to work. But it will be safer if it is buried.

The fence wire comes in four grades of wire. The wire grades are 14 gauge, 16 gauge, 18 gauge, and 20 gauge. The heavier the gauge the better the wire stands up to the elements. The 20 gauge is the thinnest while the 14 gauge is the heaviest. Generally when wire comes with the product it is a factory grade wire. Factory grade wire is usually the 20 gauge wire. It is of medium quality and usually works just fine.
